Visitors to a zoo in Yalta, Ukraine have flocked to see an albino California Kingsnake with two independent heads, which don´t always agree with each other and sometimes steal one another´s food.
"Sometimes one head wants to crawl in one direction and the other head in another direction," said zoo director Oleg Zubkov. Ruslan Yakovenko said he sometimes needs to place a barrier between the snake´s heads at dinner time.
"The second head may get angry, but both then feel satiation because they only have one stomach," he said. The snake, on loan from Germany, is believed to be the only two-headed one on the continent and has nearly doubled the zoo´s visitor numbers.
