Shaping the Future of Ceramics Call for Traditional & Interactive Posters-Abstracts due February 15th Present your research and technology during the Interactive Technology Forum. This highly-publicized, groundbreaking event allows you to give an interactive technology presentation to ceramic professionals using your laptop, iPad, or other electronic device. You may also choose to simply present a traditional poster or supplement your poster by bringing a hands-on demonstration. Submit your abstract by February 15, 2012. If you are a graduate or undergraduate student, learn about travel grants for participants. In addition to the already planned oral sessions by invited speakers, ICC4 will include two Interactive Technology Forum sessions on Monday and Tuesday evening in conjunction with the ICC4 Expo. Presentation Options Interactive Technology Presentation – Make a presentation using your laptop, iPad or other electronic tablet device Poster Plus Demonstration – In addition to your 4ft. by 4ft. poster display, bring a hands-on demonstration of your material, process, application, etc. to display on a tabletop in front of the poster board Poster Plus Electronic Device* - In addition to your 4ft. by 4ft. poster display, use your laptop, iPad, or other electronic tablet device to present additional material Traditional Poster – Present your research via a 4ft. by 4 ft. poster display. ubmit your abstract by February 15, 2012. The Interactive Technology Forum allows you to use new technology to present your technological developments. Be creative! Submitting Abstract for Traditional Posters: Abstracts are limited to 1090 characters (~150 words). Note that 4ft x 4ft Poster Space and push pins will be provided for hanging your poster. During Step 2 of the submission process, indicate “Traditional Poster” in “type of presentation.” Also, please select one of the theme areas in which to submit your poster under “Category.” Submitting Abstract for Interactive Technology Presentations and “Poster Plus” Presentations: Abstracts are limited to 1090 characters (~150 words). In addition to an abstract, you will need to submit a 100 word description of how you plan to make your “poster presentation” interactive. Note that 4ft x 4ft poster space, 4ft x 2ft table space, and electricity (if needed) will be provided. During Step 2 of the submission process, indicate “Interactive Poster” in “type of presentation.” Also, please select one of the theme areas in which to submit your interactive poster under “Category.” *Please note that a limited number of 32” LCD monitors will be provided. Please indicate your interest in using one of these LCD monitors during the abstract submission process.
